
What is a statement sentence?
Statements are the most common type of sentence.
They tell the reader a fact or idea about a single topic.
They must always end in punctuation, usually a full stop.

Statements are the most common kind of sentences. They tell the reader something like a fact or an idea about a single topic.
[ANGRY SCREAM]
NARRATOR

Oho… that’s quite a statement! Someone’s in a bad mood!
Statement sentences must always end in punctuation, usually a full stop.
[ANGRY SCREAM, MULTIPLE THUDS ON TYPEWRITER]
NARRATOR
Oh, and don’t forget the full stop.
