Donald Trump will officially become the 47th President of the United States on inauguration day on 20 January.
His victory in the November election came just over four months after the UK’s own general election.
But while the stakes are just as high and there are some similarities, there are also loads of differences between a UK and US election - not least in the common words and phrases you’ll hear throughout the campaign.
