What is light?
When you play outside in the daytime, it is usually light.
Light comes from a light source, such as the Sun or a lamp.
Light helps us to see the world around us.
When you go to sleep at nighttime and you switch off all the lights, it is usually dark.
Darkness is when there is no light or the light is blocked.
Have a look around you and count how many light and dark places you can find.
