When talking about how many people are in your family in Irish, you use different words to count people than for counting things - duine amháin, beirt, triúr. Make sure to follow the rules when counting people.

Conaím le mo mhamaí / mo dhaidí.

Conaíonn mo sheanmháthair linn.

Cá mhéad deartháir atá agat?

Tá deartháir amháin agam.

Tá beirt deartháireacha agam.
