
Roads can be dangerous places so it is really important that you know how to stay safe around them.

BICYCLE BELL DINGS
Declan cycles past ringing his bell, then stops.
DECLAN: Hey Pip! You wanna see a cool trick?
PIP: Ah, uh, careful Declan! You should think about road safety!
DECLAN: What do you mean?
PIP: Agh, hellooo, you're not wearing your helmet or your elbow pads!
DING
The narrator talks about road safety while wee see an animation of someone crossing a road, in a car, playing by a road with a ball and wearing high visibility clothing and a helmet.
NARRATOR: Road safety is very important because they are dangerous places if you are not careful. There are a lot of rules involved in road safety.
NARRATOR: Here are a few examples: When crossing the road you must make sure that there are no cars coming by looking both ways. When you are a passenger in a car you must always wear your seatbelt. When you are playing outside, you should stay away from the road. If you are ever outside in the evening, you should wear high visibility clothing. When you are riding a bike, you must always wear a helmet.
DING
Declan now has on a helmet and elbow pads.
PIP: That's you ready Declan.
DECLAN: OK, helmet on. Elbow pads ready. Watch this Pip!
Declan zooms off on his bike ands then there's a crashing sound.
BICYCLE BELL DINGS
CRASH
PIP: Oh No Declan! Are you alright?
Declan comes back with his hand to his head and helmet.
DECLAN: Its a good thing I had my helmet on! Haha ha!
PIP: Hah! Yeah!
MUSIC
DECLAN: Hope my bike's okay.
PIP: I know! Huh!
When you want to cross the road you should find a safe place to cross and always remember to stop, look both ways and listen for any traffic!
