Fin, Snoot and Plimble divide up a delicious pulsar pizza, using fractions.
NARRATOR: Hello Snoot.
ALIEN: Alien language
NARRATOR: What have you got there?
ALIEN: Alien language
NARRATOR: A pulsar pizza you say? It looks…’yummy’. Is that all for you?
ALIEN: Nods
NARRATOR: Hello Finn
ALIEN: Alien language
NARRATOR: Have you come to get some pizza?
Just in time! I know Snoot, why don’t you cut your pizza in half?
One half for you, and one half for Finn, makes two equal parts of one whole pizza.
Hello Plimble
ALIEN: Hello
NARRATOR: Have you come to get some pizza as well?
No problem, there’s plenty to go round.
If you cut your pizza halves in two, that will make four equal quarters.
One quarter for Snoot, one quarter for Finn, and one quarter for Plimble. But that leaves one quarter left over.#
Who’s going to have that?
ALIEN: Alien language
NARRATOR: That’s a good idea Finn, there’s three of you. So, instead of cutting the pizza into four quarters, it would be better to cut it into three equal parts to make thirds.
One third for Snoot, one third for Finn and one third for Plimble. Perfect!
Cutting a whole pizza into two makes halves, into four makes quarters and into three makes thirds.
ALIENS: Ah ha!
NARRATOR: Looks like all you need now is a pizza cutter. Who’s going to get one?
ALIEN: Alien language
NARRATOR: Thank you Snoot.
Ah, I think Finn and Plimble may have already helped themselves.
ALIENS: BURP
