What is equality?

Equality means making sure that everyone is treated the same.

Sometimes, people are treated unfairly just because of who they are or for something personal about them.

This could be:

  • their race
  • their gender
  • a disability they might have
  • their religion.

When this unfair treatment happens, we call this discrimination.
