A new facility for visitors to a West Sussex beach is set to be unveiled.

The purpose-built lifeguard, safety and facilities hub at West Wittering beach is being launched on Wednesday.

It will be staffed by full-time lifeguards from 17 May.

A spokesperson for West Wittering Estate said the "modern and carefully considered building represents a major investment in beach safety and convenience".

The building includes an elevated lifeguard lookout for enhanced monitoring, new and improved public toilets, a dedicated medical suite and changing rooms.

The estate spokesperson said: "We are delighted with this impressive new facility, which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to safety, accessibility, and an exceptional beach experience for everyone."
