Firefighters tackle blaze spread across two houses

Firefighters are tackling a fire which has spread across two houses in a Somerset town.

Emergency services were called to Priestley Way in Burnham-on-Sea earlier following reports of a house fire.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Services said the fire quickly spread to a neighbouring property.

Six fire engines are at the scene working to extinguish the fire in two houses and prevent it from spreading any further.

A police cordon is currently in place to assist emergency services. No injuries have been reported.
