Three men have allegedly been stabbed in Margate, according to Kent Police.

The force said it was called shortly before 16:00 BST on Monday to a report of a disturbance involving a small group of people in the town's High Street.

It is alleged three men were assaulted, said Kent Police.

Officers and paramedics attended the scene and three men were found with injuries "consistent with stab wounds", it added.

Two of the men involved were taken to hospital, where police say they remain receiving treatment.

Kent Police later said four men have been arrested in connection with the incident.

The force added: "An investigation into the incident is ongoing and detectives urge anyone with information to call Kent Police."
