Frozen Planet II – Science Live Lesson

Live Lessons

We teamed up with the makers of BBC One's Frozen Planet II for a Live Lesson exploring the coldest places on Earth and the impact of climate change on the icy habitat of harp seal pups.

This cross-curricular programme for primary schools is designed as a follow up to the new six-part BBC One series presented by Sir David Attenborough.

The Live Lesson is hosted by Naomi Wilkinson and Lizzie Daly onboard Britain’s very first polar research ship, the RRS Discovery in Dundee, which took Captain Scott, Shackleton and his crew to Antarctica in 1901.

We hope this programme will also inspire your pupils to keep learning about our natural world and the work of scientists and modern day polar explorers.

Please note that this lesson was published in 2022 and we are no longer reviewing emails and messages from schools for inclusion in the lesson.
