Here's a fun fact! The word Paralympic comes from ‘Olympic’ and the Greek word ‘Para’, meaning ‘next to’, or ‘beside’. This means the two games run along side each other as companions who are equal in importance.
Every four years, like the Olympics, disabled athletes compete for medals across multiple sports including cycling, athletics, archery and more! These Paralympians push the boundaries of physicality and achieve incredible feats at every event.
