Katie: And make sure you label everything with your child's name as everyone's jumper looks the same.

Katie: Before your child starts school, there will often be a parent's meeting.

Katie: This is a chance for you to find out from you child's teacher what's going on and any important information you need to know. It's an opportunity for you to ask questions, so it's well worth attending.

Katie: Sometimes schools do home visits as well.

Katie: Communicating with your child's teacher is key to making sure everyone's happy.

Katie: Messages from school will be sent home in your child's book bag, so make sure you check it.

Katie: And do let the school know of any important health or personal issues, you can chat with your child's teacher at drop off or pick up.
