Let's learn some words and phrases to help us talk about family.

Who is it?

Say each word out loud and click on the correct person in the photo.

• To introduce your family, you can say:

This is my…

Example:

This is my mum.

• To ask someone else, you can say:

Is this your… ?

Example:

Is this your mum?

Try to make these into sentences:

• To describe who is in your family, you can say:

I have…

Example:

I have a brother.

You can also say how many you have:

• I have one…
• I have two…
• I have three…
• I have four…

Example:

I have four cousins.

(Tip: If you have more than one, add an s at the end)

Finish the sentences:

• To ask someone about their family, you can say:

Do you have… ?

Example:

Do you have a brother?

Create your own family tree and label the people in your family.

You could even use photographs if you have them.

Don’t forget to use ‘my’!
