Question

Translate the following sentences into Welsh – but remember – there is always a soft mutation after am:

  • How about Martyn’s house?
  • How about the leisure centre?
  • How about holding the party at the bowling centre?

You could ask for your friends’ opinions by asking:

  • Beth ydych chi’n feddwl? – What do you think?(plural/polite)
  • Beth wyt ti’n feddwl? – What do you think?(singular)
  • Beth ydych chi’n feddwl o’r syniad? – What do you think of the idea? (plural/polite)
  • Beth wyt ti’n feddwl o’r syniad? – What do you think of the idea? (singular)
  • Ydych chi’n cytuno? – Do you agree?
  • Wyt ti’n cytuno? – Do you agree?
  • Ydych chi’n hapus gyda’r syniad? – Are you happy with the idea?
  • Wyt ti’n hapus gyda’r syniad? – Are you happy with the idea?

You can use these expressions throughout the whole process of arranging an event – whenever you want to ask for someone else’s opinion.
