Digital literacy is about being able to find, sort, evaluate, manage and create information in digital forms.

This means being able to:

• find sources of information by using search engines and other downloading platforms effectively
• sort through information in order to identify the most relevant for the intended purpose
• evaluate the value of the information by considering its reliability, credibility and authority
• manage the information by understanding how to use it appropriately, eg understanding how to cite a source and to download files in a legal and safe way, and use digital sites safely and wisely
• create original content without plagiarising the work of others
